About Me

I'll never forget hearing the words "diminutive".

I'd finally decided to start my journey of becoming a strength and conditioning coach (I wanted to be an NFL S&C coach and figured I would start by volunteering at the college I was attending.)

I walked into the head coach's office requesting permission to volunteer with the S&C department.

He told me that my "diminutive stature" (I'm 5'7", 170 lbs) wouldn't work in my favor and suggested I consider doing something else.

I didn't do something else.

I doubled down and built my S&C career one step at a time.

It's been 22 years since that fateful interaction and I've gone on to intern and work with some of the best athletes, achievers...people that the world has to offer.

I interned at the Athlete Factory in Daphne, AL, the NSCA in Colorado Springs & Athletes Performance in Tempe, AZ.

Over the course of 17 years I've had the opportunity to work with Special Forces Operators, Olympians, Racecar Drivers, NFL, MLB. NHL, NBA and International Rugby players along with preparing college football players for the NFL Combine and student pilots preparing to fly the F-16 & F-35 fighter jets.

I earned the opportunity to fulfill my dream and worked as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Cleveland Browns before going on to be the Head of Athletic Performance for Munster Rugby Club in Limerick, Ireland.

Through everything, I've learned the power of community, mentorship, perseverance, expertise and passion.

I've learned that sports are both unique and similar, and that preparing the human body for high performance requires a relentless dedication to the foundations of human output plus a keen eye to the unique demands of the environment.

About ASC

The trajectory of the coaches life can be interesting and challenging.

I've experienced the continuum of that coaching life where I've been met with the question: What's Next?

In the beginning, there was a deep desire to "know everything" about human performance, and a strong dedication to learning everything I could.

That's the first part of Automated Strength Coach:
Persistent Mastery of Your Craft.

With time, and as my life changed through having a family, and getting older, the "What's Next?" question grew louder.

The second part of ASC is answering:
"What's Next?"

The answer is through using your expertise and putting it to work for you.

There are people out there that need to know what you know.

Using the online space, and automating your expertise, will provide you with a new found freedom while you contribute back to those in S&C that need your knowledge.
